Cheap Creative Labs Vado HD 720p Pocket Video Camcorder with 8 GB Video Storage and 2x Digital Zoom (Black)

I received the Vado HD a few weeks ago and have had some time to get use out of it. Some have said that the Flip looks better but I must disagree. The Vado is very nice and smooth styled. The Flip is very kiddy looking. I was blown away with the size of the Vado it is the same size as my RAZR. This thing can go with you in places others can't because of size. I will also say that the 8 gig memory onboard is great compared to the Flip 4gig. The videos in HD plus are very nice on my 62" HD TV. I have had many HD cameras such as Aiptek and the video quality is as good if not maybe slightly better but the Vado does not shoot pictures so that is the only thing I would change. However you can pull pictures from the videos using the software provided. Some have mentioned that playback on there pc the video and the sound do not match. That is the pc is not able to process the framerate fast enough to keep up with the sound and all HD cameras will have this effect on a pc that is not powerfull enough so don't bash the camera. You bought a camera that is hightech and powerfull now you just need a pc to keep up.
I used NERO 8 to burn the videos to DVD's and the playback is great on the pc or the HD TV.
The skin that was provided does what it needs to do but is not pretty. Does Flip even give you one? I don't think so.
Battrey life is awesome its seems to last forever even though I have not measured it I know it was several hours.
The only thing I did not really like was that it does not have a video stabilizer on it but it is not a big deal and I don't think any of them at this size. Remember you are buying this for is size. There are many HD camcorders out there that can do better videos at over 1000.00 and are huge but can't go where this one can "your pocket".
