I'm not a pro so this is strictly for other newbies like me. I love how small and light and EASY TO USE this thing is! But for those of you with only very basic computers like me, editing the footage won't be as fun. Now I have to get a new laptop that will play HD footage! Aaagghh!!

Well, I'm still glad I have it because it starts up really quickly and the software that comes with the Vado HD is also really easy to use. You can pull still photos from footage but it comes out as, well, a still photo pulled from video footage! If still photos is what you need primarily, you're probably better off buying a digital camera that takes video. :) But I will say that this thing is pretty fun to play with.

However, I haven't yet learned how to edit my footage, i.e. cut out parts that I don't want, and that's because my laptop can't keep up with HD video! :( So I've been a bit silly as a consumer but well, I might get a new laptop/computer anyway!
