Order Creative Labs Vado HD 720p Pocket Video Camcorder with 8 GB Video Storage and 2x Digital Zoom (Black)

I've had the product for three months and it is fantastic. The video quality is surprisingly amazing. Even when hooked up to a 50" HDTV via the included HDMI cord the quality is impressive. I have blown people away with the quality and they are always shocked at the price (especially considering what they paid for their fancy Cams).

I have seen people compare this to the Flip Mino HD and say it's comparable. It is not. I'll take the Vado over the Flip, no question! Here's why...

1. Memory - Vado has 2 Hours of HD. Mino has only 1 hour. HUGE difference right there alone.
2. Connectivity - Vado has a mini-HDMI output and includes a free HDMI cord. Mino, no HDMI connectivity.
3. Battery - Vado has a replacable and rechargeable lithium ion. Mino does not allow replacing of batteries (think ipod).

I have heard video quality under low-light is slightly better with Flip. I cannot attest to this but I can gaurentee neither camera works well in low-light (hence the price tag).

One issue I had that was of no fault to Vado was an audio video synch problem. My computer is simply not powerful enough to process HD clips in windows media player. I was able to resolve this by using VLC Media Player instead of Windows and making sure all other programs are closed when playing video. Minor inconvienece. No big deal though.

I have shot more video in three months with the Vado than I had in the previous year using my expensive Sony.
