Creative Labs Vado HD 720p Pocket Video Camcorder with 8 GB Video Storage and 2x Digital Zoom (Black) Review

This is a great camera, with a super wide fixed lens, that allows you to get a very nice wide shot. The quality is also very good (720p), and surprisingly does decent in low light. I have a couple of issues I ran into.

- Under a lot of movement, or fast motion, the camera seems to go down to just a few frames per second. For instance a somewhat small drop on a roller coaster essentially is skipped. I'm sure the camera isn't rated for this, but it seems to do this under small moments also.

- Mac support, it's technically supported, as you can connect and pull the videos off (the Windows setup is much nicer, since it includes the software right on the camera). And if you install perian, you can play the videos. However in their current form they CANNOT be imported into iMovie '09 (or 08, I believe 07 works however). You can run them through FFmpegx or similar software with minimal loss in quality, but it takes time.
