The Vado HD is a winner in most respects. It's fun and easy to use and customer support is attentive.

But I've had two of them wipe out the entire day's library with a "Format Error: Press Delete to Continue" message. The system is in lock-down. There is no option but to erase all the stored recordings. The manufacturer will obviously work to correct it. It was quite frustrating to have this happen to me with back-to-back purchases.
